🥺 After eight days of learning, practice, and shared experiences, the Young Buddhist Ceremony Leader Training Program, jointly organized by Wat Sutthawas and Wat Sutthawas School, has now reached its final day.

Venerable Phra Maha Thavorn Thanavaro, P.Th.9, Ph.D.District Ecclesiastical Head of Bang LamungAbbot of Wat Sutthawas

presided over the closing ceremony and presented certificates to the participants who completed the program.

Wat Sutthawas would like to express its sincere appreciation and rejoice in the merit of the school administrators, teachers, monk instructors, organizing committee, and everyone involved for their dedication, cooperation, and selfless contribution in making this program possible.

Throughout the training, participants not only learned about the roles and responsibilities of a Young Buddhist Ceremony Leader, but were also encouraged to develop morality, ethical values, discipline, responsibility, a spirit of volunteer service, and the ability to work effectively with others — all of which are important qualities for young people.

The term “Young Buddhist Ceremony Leader” therefore represents much more than a young person who can assist with Buddhist ceremonies. It refers to a young person with a spirit of service, a willingness to help others, respect for the Triple Gem, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to serve as a positive example for friends and the wider community.

Most importantly, the true value of this training begins after the program ends — when participants apply the knowledge and experiences they have gained in their daily lives, at home, at school, at the temple, and within their communities.

If everyone continues to practice the Buddhist principles and moral values they have learned, this program will not end today. Instead, it will mark the beginning of developing responsible and compassionate young people who can become an important force in preserving Buddhism and contributing positively to society, in accordance with the BOWON principle of cooperation between Home, Temple, School, and Community.

🙏 We sincerely rejoice in the merit of everyone involved and hereby bring the program to a successful close.

May you continue to grow in Dhamma and goodness.
