✨ Atmosphere of the Merit-Making Ceremony: Traditional Offering Procession (Thawai Hab) and Uposatha Day Observance at Wat Sutthawas ✨
🗓 Friday, 16 April 2026
Observed on the Uposatha Day (14th waning day of the 5th lunar month)
Disciples and Buddhist devotees from Nong Prue and Pattaya gathered together on this auspicious morning to accumulate merit. The ceremony was graciously presided over by:
🙏 Monastic Chairperson:
Venerable Phra Maha Thavorn Thanavaro, P.Th.9, Ph.D.
District Ecclesiastical Head of Bang Lamung and Abbot of Wat Sutthawas
👤 Lay Chairperson:
Mr. Winai Inpitak
Mayor of Nong Prue Municipality
Participants joined together in morning almsgiving, offering breakfast to monks, and listening to a Dhamma sermon for blessings and spiritual well-being. They also continued the beautiful traditional practice of the “Thawai Hab” offering procession at the multipurpose pavilion of Wat Sutthawas, Chonburi Province.
May the merits from this occasion bring happiness, prosperity, strong health, and inner brightness to everyone always.
